After successful election as a member of the World Heritage Committee for the period of 2017-2021, Bahrain succeeded in becoming the host country of the 42nd Session of the World Heritage Committee Meeting. The meeting will take place from 24 June to 4 July 2018 in the Kingdom of Bahrain and will be chaired by HE Sheikha Haya Al Khalifa.
The World Heritage Committee session will gather thousands of people among whom will be Ministers, Ambassadors and heritage experts from all around the world. Several side events will take place throughout the meeting. It is an outstanding opportunity to present the unique heritage of the Kingdom, and ensure a memorable stay to the participants of the meeting. It will be the most significant international event of the decade hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
